Michael Mower 

After graduating from college with a degree in Broadcast Journalism Michael Mower returned to his hometown of St, Simons Island where he spent an energy filled youth and he has the scars and stitches to prove that!  After his early days in radio started with WMOG then onto WPIQ 101.5 fm in Brunswick, Michael was lured away by a lucrative sales position that took him to Nashville, TN then Atlanta.  Michael’s sales career in the bicycle industry then took him on a fantastic journey for nearly two decades as far as Northern California where he enjoyed a fulfilling career in the bicycle industry as a product line manager for an industry leading manufacturer.   

Throughout his career in sales, Michael recalls how often a new acquaintance would comment, “You sound like you should be in radio”.  He would thank them and pass it off with “I used to do that!”  Keeping his finger in the radio biz, Michael did professional commercial voice work in both the Atlanta and Northern California markets and missed the energy he once enjoyed. 

After moving back to the Golden Isles, Michael worked in the bicycle industry as a store manager, all the while providing the “voice” for a local company’s commercials on Sunny 103!  This re-introduction to radio was all it took to reignite the passion and fuel the FUN he had never forgotten. 

Michael lives on St. Simons Island where he enjoys his bicycle collection and good times with friends and family.  Michael’s Mom, Sister and Grandfather also live on St, Simons.
