SCOTT RYFUN

Scott Ryfun, recently named the Most-Listened-to Man in South Georgia Radio, has been a fixture on Sunny 103 since it first began back in 1995.  Scott was the station's first midday host, and has since been both the morning show host and the afternoon drive personality as well.  A Brunswick native, Scott returned home after attending Florida State University and shortly began his radio career on WMOG.  In fact, Scott still hosts a morning talk show on the Golden Isle's oldest radio station.

When asked why he returned home after college, Scott says with a grin, "Look around you.  This is the greatest place on earth...except maybe Disney World, and since I can't live on Space Mountain, South Georgia is stuck with me."

Scott has spent nearly all his time since college working the Brunswick radio market, but he has found time for one or two other pursuits.  "One of my greatest regrets was that I never asked out this girl that I had a huge crush on at Brunswick High."  When she happened to move back to town, he got his chance, and kept a promise he always quietly made to himself: "I used to say, 'If she would just give me a chance, I'll never give her a reason to want anyone else.'"  Two years later, they were married and he and J'Deane are the parents of Julia Alyse and Garrison, or the G-Man, as he's referred to on-air when he makes an occasional guest appearance on his dad's show.

Scott has more hobbies than he cares to admit: collecting books, comic books, DVDs, and Star Wars paraphernalia.  He has also recently been bitten by the outdoor theater bug, resulting in the purchase of a giant inflatable movie screen for his backyard.  He only gets a few weird looks from the neighbors.
